Down but not out. 12's lose 2-0

8/8 Down but not out.

What a battle in Game 2! We came up against a great pitcher on the mound for Nebraska and struggled to get the bats going tonight. Cooper Sanders and Logan Mielke pitched 5 great innings holding the Nebraska team to only 3 hits. The defense made plays and a couple of mistakes allowed 2 runs to score despite the great effort.

Centennial has taken this come from behind approach in both District and State championship runs. Taking the long path to their championship games.

The tournament is double elimination and this year the top two teams in each region advance to Williamsport.

Next game is Tuesday, 8/10 @ noon vs Iowa.  Please watch the 12's again on ESPN+.

Centennial Lakes wins opening game against Kansas 10-2

8/7 Centennial Lakes jumped on the pitcher early and strung together multiple hits culminating with Casey Morris lacing a 2-run double into right field.

Caleb Koskela pitched an exceptional game giving up two runs over 3 2/3 innings.

Kaden Julik pitched a scoreless 1 2/3 innings and added a 2-run laser beam over the left field fence to help blow the game open.

Jaden Anderson came in to close the door and pitched the last 1 1/3 innings to seal the 10-2 win.

Centennial Lakes plays in the second round against Nebraska who won their opener 1-0.  The game is at 6pm central on ESPN+.

With Covid uncertainties still looming, there are many unknowns for the 2021 season.  We are very hopeful that come Spring time, we will be able to play ball, but we are still moving forward with caution.  We want to be as transparent as possible so everyone knows what to expect going into the 2021 season with regards to refunds if there is a shutdown.  The 2020 season left our program with massive debts as we did not collect enough funds for the expenses we had already incurred for the season.   Moving forward, for the 2021 season, we will be covering our expenses.  If you register for the season, and if our season is shut down, you will not receive the 40.00 Field Maintenance fee back that is charged to each family.  There will also be an additional 20.00 per child that will not be refunded, and depending on the timing of a potential future shutdown, there may be additional costs that will not be refunded depending on how far we are into our season with regard to expenses already paid for by the league.  We know that many of you will understand this decision, and we know many of you may not, but in order for us to continue as a 501C3 non-profit program, this is something that we will need to do to ensure we stay a float for the kids in this community for future seasons.  Thank you for your support!
