Choosing a Bat

By Chris Cleveland 03/26/2023, 5:00pm CDT

Must be softball bats.  10U requires the ASA/USSSA stamp so you may want to purchase with the future in mind.

Choosing a bat - I have come to find that most kids (including my own) are using bats that are either too long or too heavy, this helps explain that if you are in the market for a new bat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKMrpfQJyuo

Tutorial Videos

By Chris Cleveland 03/26/2023, 5:00pm CDT

Brice mentioned that last year we made a run in the final tournament and that was mostly because we had some kids that were really good at fielding and throwing. So I tried to find a few simple easy tutorial videos you can reference to get a head start on the season if you have room in the house/basement/garage. Last year we only got about 1 practice in before games started due to the weather so it would probably be a great idea especially for some of our younger players to get comfortable with some of these concepts. I have been spending about 10 minutes a day before school on some of these with my daughter for the last week and now she is one reminding me everyday that its time to practice.
